Policy of continuous quality and improvement

The only way to maintain and improve our position in the market is to continue orientating our efforts towards our clients’ needs. For this, we have summed up our Quality Policy in the following general principles :

  1. It is a main objective of Estampaciones Modernas S.L. to offer our Clients Products of Quality according to a competitive price, fulfilling the requirements they should be applied.
  2. The assurance of Quality is the responsibility of each of the members of the Company. It’s a constant task of the management to promote the consciousness of continuous Quality and Improvement at all levels.
  3. One of our means to guarantee the Quality of our products, as well as the services we offer our clients, is carried out through a close co-operation between the departments of the company.
  4. All the processes must be conceived with a preventive Philosophy; in this way, we not only improve the quality, but we also reduce our costs. The improvement of the Quality will increase our competitiveness.
  5. The Quality of our products depends to a great extent on the Quality of the products we purchase. Therefore, our Suppliers must commit themselves to this dynamic of continuous improvement of the Quality. We’ll support our suppliers in the achievement of the common objectives of Quality.   6. To be able to achieve and develop the preceding points, all the members of Estampaciones Modernas S.L., must Respect the Policy of Quality of the company, as well as comply with and make comply with the System of Quality Management established in it.
  7. The Managing Director commits himself to allocate the necessary Resources to reach the achievement of this Policy of Quality, as well as its spreading to all the personnel, and to supervise the achievement of it.
  8. The satisfaction of the Client must be measured through the achievement of the pre-established conditions. Each delivery must be a recommendation for future business.
  9. Our resources and organisation are the basic pillars to continue operating as a competitive Company, but our Attitude, Motivation and Commitment towards Quality, are essential.

Techniques of continuous improvement

5S

The implementation of this technique means to improve the organisation and the order and cleanliness of the different departments and sections of the company. The 5S methodology counts 5 steps:

Organisation
Organising the working area, eliminating/removing the unnecessary and establishing preventive measures against its reappearance.
Order
Defining, adapting and identifying places to locate correctly and in a simple way all the necessary things.
Cleanliness
“Creating an organisation” that maintains in permanent state of use the working post, as well as the machines, equipment and tools that it employs.
Visual Control
Creating a favourable atmosphere that enables the management by exception and the easy detection of anomalies by means of techniques of visual management.
Discipline and habit
Establishing the mechanisms of verification and diagnostic of the state of Organisation, Order and Cleanliness (audits, photos, videos, etc.), as well as the indicators of measure of the level reached, that auto-stimulate the personnel to continue the efforts of improvement

Kanban

The Kanban system is a system of information that control harmoniously the production of the necessary products in the necessary quantities at the necessary moment in each of the processes of a factory.

A kanban is a card that is usually introduced into a rectangular plastic case. Two classes are mainly used : the kanban of exit and the kanban of production. In the exit one, the quantities that a process must remove from the previous process are detailed, whereas the production one indicates the quantity that this process must produce.
